We believe time is a person’s most valuable asset, that time is meant to be enjoyed. Whether you spend your free time trekking the world or bbq’ing in the backyard with friends and family, we make clothing that allows you to enjoy your life to the fullest.
We’re an apparel company for a community of freethinking and driven individuals interested in being a positive force in the world. That's why when you buy our stuff, you help provide clean and sustainable drinking water for people in the developing world. We create leisure and active-wear in a responsible and compassionate manner, and believe that the key to long-term business success is respect—not just for our customers and employees—but for the greater world in which we live. We strive to build a legacy within these values.

Our Story
We founded skylark & king (with a lot of help from our friends!) because we want to make the world a better, cooler and comfier place.
We've always had a strong connection to water. Growing up in Michigan—the Great Lakes State—with a water resource and environmental engineer as a father basically insured that much. As children, we were taught never to leave the faucet running and spent more than the occasional Saturday afternoon at community water clean-ups. But despite all this, we’ve always taken clean drinking water and sanitation for granted.
It wasn’t until each of us spent time traveling abroad that we realized how lucky they were. Nearly 1 billion people worldwide live without clean drinking water. After seeing this first hand we knew we wanted to be part of the solution. Combining a desire to help, with an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for art and clothing, skylark & king was born.
